Aspiring court reporter?

So I Graduated from miami Dade kendall college with my 2 year aa degree in pre-nursing. i know its late in the game to switch my career plan but I recently became interested in court room reporting with a stenotype. I am an expert typist and always have taken EXCEPTIONALLY well to keyboards and controllers. I know I have what it takes but does my 2 year degree help me at all? How much school is involved? I live in Miami Florida. any suggestions?
