How to approach a guy about being dishonest?

I just met this guy about 2-3 weeks ago. He told me he was 25 had 1 daughter and that he was in the Real Estate business. Come to find out that was a lie. His mom told me that he worked at Kmart and he actually has two daughters. And according to his myspace page he is 22. I already know that I don't want to continue seeing this person becuase he has been dishonest with me. What I need to know is how do I approach him about lying without hurting his feelings. I guess he was ashamed that he has 2 children and he works at Kmart. I told him from the door I don't like liers. What should I say to him, his mom told me not to tell him that she told me the truth about him.
