In the world of dating and marriage,are single mothers best avoided?

I have no children, but along time ago I dated a single mother.Just seems like everything revolved around the child.To me that's not normal, it's "damaged goods".To them it might be just right,considering I have no children to interfere with Timmy or Mary"s daily activities,plus I could be "Dad".I am also apprehensive about the childrens relatives in this day and age-you know Timmy falls out of the car window while I'm going down the interstate and Grandma blames me.that sort of scenario.Also, why have children then dump the real Daddy, and spend the rest of your life looking for a fake Daddy? Someone please sort this out.
