Is Yahoo only ociated with SBC? I am getting ready to drop SBC, but still want to access my Yahoo account.?

I have but will drop my SBCGlobal address, but would like to save the mail into my "who1012000" yahoo account. Maybe this already done? If I sign into "who1012000" it automatically goes to my SBC account. Do I deen to uninstall my SBC software to stop this?
