What Jane Austen book would you recommend and which movie? Any biographies about her worth reading?

I haven't read any of her books, but I've seen the major motion picture versions of Sense & Sensibility, Emma and Mansfield Park. I've also seen Becoming Jane. For me, I liked that movie the best, as it was the saddest. Would it be worth reading any of the books where I've seen the movie versions? I typically don't like to read a book after I've seen the movie version unless I've heard they're completely different. Would you recommend seeing any of the other versions of these movies (mainly TV versions, I've heard), even duplicating watching the three I've seen? Which of her books would you recommend? Which is your favorite? Which movie based on her books would you recommend seeing the most, because it is your fave? Have you read any of the biographies about Jane Austen? Have there been any movies based on her true life besides Becoming Jane? Thanks!
