How to find a good martial arts school in the Washington, DC area?

I'm in my 20s and interested in attending a martial arts school, preferably private lessons. I did some Tai Kwon Do, years ago but I'd like to get back into it or something similar. Any thoughts on how to find one or any suggestions on which desciplines would be best for a 24-year-old to study?
